The OHG bull METRO, which comes from Bunge’s S line, was able to clearly take first place on the RZ€ top list in the August breeding value assessment due to his outstanding production performance of his daughters combined with impeccable fitness and health. With a value of 2.239 € he even has a lead of over 100 € compared to the following bulls. Of his 445 daughters, 320 are in Germany and a significant number in Scandinavia, where he was also used early on as a genomic bull and as well as sire of sons. According to the Scandinavian overall index with NTM 30, he is also clearly the No. 1 of all daughter-tested bulls. The bull offers as well a rare aAa code with 513642.
Although Metro is certainly not necessarily a conformation bull, he seems to be able to produce absolutely top conformation products when properly mated. The winning heifer FWS Celina from Frank Wißmann impressively demonstrated this at the recent Osnabrueck local show.
